WILDsound Festival Review – Today’s Short Film Submission Testimonials

WILDsound Festival's avatarWILDsound Festival

Today’s Testimonials – Filmmakers feedback on their feedback given on their short film.

All films that do not make the festival cut can request the feedback notes on their film from the committee. Here are some recent reactions:

    * * * * *

This feedback is great. If this is what I get with the film being rejected, I can only imagine the feedback from the actual festival. I actually agree with basically everything you’ve said here. Thanks so much for the opportunity, and good luck with the festival!
– Tim Bridgewater, Short Film

Thank you so much for the feedback. This was what I was looking forward to seeing and I think it will make me a better filmmaker. Making the film fest was not as important as hearing your reaction. I plan on studying your notes in more detail when I have the…

Black White and Blood
by Lizzie Heart

Silent screams, pasty cream
Black and white
Head to toe; not just me,
Look around it’s everything
Blood dripping, rope it stings
Digging into my skin
Tied to the tracks while there you laugh
Standing in your tall black hat,
There with your evil grin
Twisting and twirling your greasy moustache
Damsel in distress
Legs flailing up and down
Short torn dress, around my knees
You stare, oh so pleased
Vocal cords with no vibrations
My Prince, my hero…
Where is he now
The dark shadows casting me down
Black puffing clouds
Iron shakes, rumbling gravel, moving ground
Your tilted back, mouth open wide
Bent almost in half
To let out the most ghoulish, evil sound
My ears quiver, such trepidation, nothing do they hear
Scared straight, not going to be saved
Adrenaline pumping
Kick it into gear, got…

FORZEN DREAMS, Poetry by Virendra Gupta

FORZEN DREAMS
by Virendra Gupta

Ice freezes not — in my dreams
For it melts and melts

The maroon mountain
But a merry vale —
My heart belongs to the mountain
For you dwell on its other side
And my dreams dwell in you
For you live in my dreams.

Dreams so dear, so very bright
But hazy like a fading star —
Leaves an empty horizon within me
For my eyes —
You are a dream
So near, yet far –so far

A lake descends in my dreams
Every night —
So my eyes are teary
Each morning!
A mountain melts and
A brook flows —
A lake forms when the flow blocks.

My inner flow too has blocked
For my dreams have frozen
For you are a dream!
And my dreams rest in you.
