Love, Our Dark Desire
by Gisele T. Siegmund

raging flames of raging fire

only love, my wild desire

awaken bliss, for I grow tired

weary dreams of my burning fire

I bid thee come, so we’ll fly higher

I bid thee come, let us rage in fire

I bid thee come, let our love transpire

let it burn, as we burn in desire

the pit that rages higher

cry out, our burning fire

which rages in our dark desire

all our love that now burns higher

when we come to ignite this fire

only dreams of our dark desire

SYNOPSIS:

Diamond and the fosters is:

More than just a story book. It’s a gift. A gift of words for quiet hearts, yearning for a voice.

It’s a two-fold achievement: On it’s face: a rhyming, rhythmic rendition of comical events. While underneath: a bold and healthy swim into the strong waves of adolescent emotion.

Diamond is a young girl in a very difficult situation. How would you feel if someone picked you up…

Watch Poem MAY YOUR BEST PERCEIVE ME by Kim Lee Seagull

Interview with Mr. Kim Lee Seagull:

Matthew: What is the theme of your poem?

Kim: This is a romantic poem that I wrote for my French teacher, while I was at The University of Tennessee. I fell in love with her, but she was already spoken for.

Matthew: How would you like people to respond when they read or watch your poetry reading?

Kim: I believe that any poet’s muse would cause them to feel the same way that I did, if their love was as great as mine. So may their love be as great as mine, when they read my little verse.

Matthew: How long have you been writing poetry?

Kim: I wrote my first poem when I was 14 years old.

Matthew: Do you have a favorite poet?

Kim: I love any poet that chokes me…

Get to know June Helen Fleming:

Matthew: What is the theme of your poem?

June: I wrote this poem when I was very sad because my daughter Rhonda left her first year attending the University of Tennessee to marry a young man she met while she was attending high school in Sterling Virginia. We had a beautiful wedding for her, and then they moved to Florida with our blessings. I left her bedroom door closed and could not go in her room I missed her so much.

Matthew: How would you like people to respond when they read or watch your poetry reading?

June: I wanted to share my disappointment and sadness with others, because when my emotions overcame me a poem will come from the situation that caused it. I can always read my poem throughout the…

Watch the Poetry Reading of WHADYA THINK DAD? by Erle Mutz

Interview with Poet Erle Mutz:

Matthew: What is the theme of your poem?

Erle: My “missed” opportunities of my Dad’s guidance and experience. Because my Dad died while I was in HS, I never got the opportunity to discuss life’s pitfalls, “ups n downs”, and most of all – his company and bonding while maturing.

Matthew: How would you like people to respond when they read or watch your poetry reading?

Erle: I’m hoping that there are “many more people” (out there) who have experienced the same vacancy and desire. Maybe they can ‘avoid’ some of the pain and anguish I have, and NOT waste their time while ‘he’ IS still around.

Matthew: How long have you been writing poetry?

Erle: Off and on for over 50 yrs.

Matthew: Do you have a favorite poet?

Erle: I don’t really…
