I was probably doing more to pigeonhole myself as a Welshman and a Welsh actor than anyone else! A lot of the stuff I said in the past sounded defensive – a young man’s ideals about who I am and where I’m from. I realize I don’t have to force that on people, but just use it as a safety net, to stride out into the world knowing that I have a strong sense of identity. Because we’re all landlocked in this nation together and we should be celebrating it.

[2009] Anyone can be a director now, as you well know. There’s no union, basically, per se anymore. They say it is, but these kids are going out and making . . . I just did a western for some guy’s grandson up in Oregon, who is a timber baron, and he put up 200 grand for it. I did a film in Miami for a car dealer who wanted his daughter to be on-screen. And they never go anywhere. They just lay around on shelves. Somebody ought to wise up and figure out how to sell those movies at WalMart, you know? But people have that kind of money, or they used to. It’s tough times now for all of us. Everybody’s scared to death. Nobody knows what’s going to happen now. I get along day by day, and that’s about the way it goes, and I always look forward to tomorrow. I’m as excited about doing the next one as I am the first one, and the energy is still there. Of course, my memory’s not as good as it used to be, so what the hell. Marlon Brando never learned a line in his life, so I don’t feel too bad, you know.

Died: October 5, 2014 (age 32) in Auburn, Washington, USA

On October 5, 2014, she was seen at her apartment in Auburn, Washington. Her father called police on October 6th saying that she was missing. Police stopped her father from going after her, instead they searched her apartment and felt that she left of her own volition; and have not officially declared her missing. As of October 12, 2014 she had not contacted family or friends. On October 16, 2014, family and friends found a body in a ravine that they believed to be hers. Despite pleas from the family the police refused to help with search and rescue efforts. She was one of a 1000+ missing Native women whom the police never searched for.

And so what do they do, to the left of that monument? They set up runway lights. And I’m thinking, if you could travel through the vacuum of space, you don’t need runway lights. Runway lights are if you’re using air for lift. Aliens would not need air for lift.
