Motivation was a really good actress, Barbara. I worked with her previously and wrote it for her. Start to finish it took around an hour to film, a couple of hours to edit and less than hour to write so probably about half day.

QUOTES:

  • [on Paula Abdul]: The rumors? They’re not true. She’s part of our family. And we love her.
  • [on the departure of Paula Abdul, who was one of the judges]: So the news that Paula Abdul is leaving “American Idol” stunned me last night. She’s a dear friend, I love her to death, and it’s really sad that it’s come to fruition. I’m just bummed and I think if you were to talk to Randy or Simon they’d say the same thing. It’s just sad. It bums us out.
  • [on his romance with Teri Hatcher]: I think we can assume that we’ve been together. If I wanted to have my picture taken I would have gone to a popular celebrity restaurant. The Ivy, [the restaurant where he was photographed with Hatcher] was far out of town. That was a surprise to me.

QUOTES:

I like playing a guy who wears pants as opposed to shorts.

Doing animation is closer to pretending than anything else you get to do. It’s much more like when you’re a kid putting on a character.

Working on a sitcom and improv improves your comedic chops. If you do it long enough, the one thing you learn to do is listen to the other characters.

When you’re in Hollywood, you get sort of jaded about what you think the sense of humor of Hollywood is supposed to be, so you can’t think outside the box.

QUOTES:

My [North New Jersey] accent’s coming out now, so I’m gonna stop talking.

[The Skins audition] was just another one of the auditions that my agency had sent me on. But, being a fan of the original show, I definitely went into it with a different mind-set because I was so thrilled to just be able to audition. I really tried to give it my all because it would be such an amazing opportunity.

When I hear Carmela talk about food, I feel a warmth in my stomach that I can’t really describe.

My favorite characters to play are women with something to lose. She drives the plot, and I thought that was awesome.
Yeah [I bonded quickly with my fellow cast]. It was a very strange experience. We were all probably nervous about how the bonding and the cast chemistry would develop, but immediately, when we met each other, something clicked and we were instantly friends. And then, over the course of these past five months, between filming and the aftermath, we’ve become a family and we are each other’s support system and so much more. I couldn’t be luckier and happier to have them with me, throughout all of this. We all feel the same way. None of this would be the same without each other.

Happy Birthday: Dec. 24th. Ava Gardner(1922-1990)

Born December 24, 1922 · Grabtown, North Carolina, USA Died January 25, 1990 · Westminster, London, England, UK (bronchial pneumonia) Birth name Ava Lavinia Gardner Spouses Frank Sinatra(November 7, 1951 – July 5, 1957) (divorced) Artie Shaw(October 17, 1945 – October 25, 1946) (divorced) Mickey Rooney(January 10, 1942 – May 21, 1943) (divorced) QUOTES: All I ever got out of any of my marriages was the two years Artie Shaw financed on an analyst’s couch. I have only one rule in acting–trust the director and give him heart and soul. When I lose my temper, honey, you can’t find it any place. I don’t understand people who like to work and talk about it like it was some sort of goddamn duty. Doing nothing feels like floating on warm water to me. Delightful, perfect.
