September 2025 ROMANCE/RELATIONSHIPS Festival Testimonials.

Submit via FilmFreewayDeadline Today:

The Feedback Romance and Relationship Festival was such an amazing festival experience. Great communication from the jump. The feedback video provided by the audience was incredibly thoughtful and done with real care for the film. It is so great to hear people who actually took the time to find meaning in your work, and share their insights to what the film meant to them, it’s why we do what we do.

Not only do they provide great feedback to the filmmaker but they give you opportunities to share your vision of the film with a written and podcast interview. It gives an independent filmmaker the opportunity to market their work and showcase the dedication it takes to make a film. It was a great honor to be selected and honored at this festival. I will certainly be submitting when we make the next film!

Original formula, very helpful for the communication. Congratulations

Top notch, fun, rewarding, and great festival overall!

[on what happened after American Beauty (1999)] – I wanted fame, but I thought it would be incremental, and I became afraid of the overnight-sensation thing. I started walking into rooms, and everyone would look at me, and I would freeze up. People kept saying, “You have to find your next movie” and that didn’t make life any better. (2012, on his former drug & alcohol addiction) I was risking everything to get drugs. I was driving around with homeless guys and people just out of prison, then I’d hit the streets and smoke all day. I’d already nodded off on set a couple times, and now I was being asked to leave auditions mid-reading because it was just so sad for them. I missed my brother’s wedding because I was so messed up… The shakes, hearing voices, paranoia – those were daily occurrences for me. I was nearly dead, and I didn’t care.

[on comparisons to J-Lo] It doesn’t annoy me, no, because I respect J-Lo. I like her, I think she’s great. And I know that I’m over a decade younger than her, it’s so flattering that I’m so young and people are comparing me to someone who has accomplished so much. But I don’t think I’m like anyone else and really, I’d rather not be compared to anyone else. Who I am on stage is very, very different to who I am in real life. But I don’t see that having a sexy image when you are on stage means that you don’t love God. No one knows what I’m really like from that. I like to walk around with bare feet and I don’t like to comb my hair. I’m always so glammed up and so diva on stage and that’s what they see. People don’t understand that… No one knows my personal relationship with God and it’s not up to me to prove that to anyone. [When asked about the disbanding of Destiny’s Child] Not because one person wants to go solo. Or not because we don’t like each other. Or because we’re not selling records anymore. But because it has to end at a certain point. (June 2005)

[on being cast as Bobby ‘Bacala’ Baccalieri in ‘The Sopranos’] I had been working as an entertainment director at the Riviera in Las Vegas. When I got the script, I remember reading it going, Wait a minute. I mean, Tony’s calling me a ‘a calzone with legs’, and ‘Consider the salads, you fat fuck’. And I’m not much bigger than him. So at first I thought, Maybe they cast the wrong guy. And then they had me come in a day or two early and they fitted me for a fat suit. And for the first two seasons I was in a fat suit. And then I guess, in Season Four, David [Chase] thought I was fat enough on my own, so he let me get rid of it. If it’s time for your character to go, it’s time for your character to go – you know what I mean? That’s it. It doesn’t matter who you are. [David Chase] made that statement when he killed off Big Pussy. This was a major character that just got killed. I mean, this wasn’t ‘Friends’. This was a real worry. You know, we would talk. ‘Did you hear anything?’ You’re asking the writers. Nobody’s telling you nothing. Each time the script arrived, you go to the front, you go to the back, looking. Personally, I think the better they killed you, the better it was. Like Joey Pants went out with the head [in a fistfight]. Michael had a good one [by suffocation]. Mine was fantastic [shot looking at train sets]. But i think if they let you go with a whimper it was a bad joke, instead of, you know, ‘Hey, we’re going to give you a good fucking send-off’.
