Celina Jade is a quadruple threat: an actress, singer/songwriter, model and martial artist.

Born in Hong Kong to American Kung Fu star, Roy Horan (who shared the big screen with the legendary Bruce Lee and Jackie Chan), action fighting has been in Celina’s blood from an early age and her passion shows in her lead role in Legendary Assassin.

It was evident that Celina would be an entertainer from a young age. Her love for music led to her winning an Asia-wide singing competition at 14 in which she landed a record deal with Japanese producer, Tetsuya Komuro. Together, they released two EPs, ”Good News Bad News” and ‘Kwong Ying Zi Gan’. In July, 2000, she performed alongside Namie Amuro at the G8 Summit in Okinawa, Japan for the World Leaders. At age 15, she had her first No. 1 hit with the song, “Kwong Ying Zi Gan” in Taiwan. She has since then been featured in multiple ad campaigns for Marks & Spencer, Cathay Pacific, Motorola and Ponds globally.

She was originally cast as “Mia Wallace” in Quentin Tarantino’s Pulp Fiction (1994), but had to turn down the role. She was replaced by Uma Thurman.

Has a younger brother who is a drummer/rock musician. He appeared briefly in Reality Bites (1994) as the drummer of Ethan Hawke’s band, but was not credited.

Used to be a DJ in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Was the original choice for the female lead in Four Weddings and a Funeral (1994). Prior to leaving for the UK to begin filming, stopped off in Texas to see her mother. As her mother was walking towards Jeanne to greet her, her mother collapsed and died instantly. As a result, Andie MacDowell stepped in and played the role.

Was considered for the role of Dr. Chase Meridian in Batman Forever (1995).

Spokesperson for the World Monuments Fund.

Nominated as Outstanding Actress in a Made For Television Movie in The Women’s Image Network (WIN) Awards 2012 for her work the film FIVE.

I grew up in a rural area. I grew up in deep southern middle Tennessee, probably about thirty miles from the Alabama border. There’s nothing there, really. And the TV was my link to the outside world. It’s what kept me from going into factory employment. It’s what made me want to go to college. It was really inspiring.
