Get to know the filmmaker:

1. What motivated you to make this film?

It was the end of the pandemic, and my boys and I were looking for something to do to get back into the swing of things.

2. From the idea to the finished product, how long did it take for you to make this film?

In about 3 months, this process went very fast. I think everyone was ready to get back into the production scene.

3. How would you describe your film in two words!?

Cute Funny

4. What was the greatest obstacle you faced in completing this film?

This was shot in my house, and we had a hard time keeping the dogs quiet. You can hear Griffin whimpering in the background in a couple of scenes.

5. There are 5 stages of the filmmaking process: Development. Pre-Production. Production. Post-Production. Distribution.

What is your favorite stage of the filmmaking process?

Production especially Principal Photography.

6. When did you realize that you wanted to make films?

It had been stewing around in my head for years, and at the end of the pandemic, it was the easiest and least expensive shot to make at the time.

7. What film have you seen the most times in your life?

West Side Story, the 1961 version.

8. In a perfect world: Who would you like to work with/collaborate with on a film?

That’s easy, Mckenna Grace. She’s a wonderful talent, and I’ve already written the script.

9. You submitted to the festival via FilmFreeway. How has your experience been working on the festival platform site?

It has been great! I started using them around 2014 or 2015. I think I used a website called Withoutabox before FilmFreeway.

10. What is your favorite meal?

Chicken Fried Steak

11. What is next for you? A new film?

That film script I mentioned earlier. I’m shooting a Proof-of-Concept scene from it on May 26.
