Their refuge becomes a sanctuary where they share their dreams and fears, finding solace in each other’s company. DUNES, 10min., France Directed by Virginie Kahn It could be a Harlem theater in the fifties. Two strangers share the same emotion while watching a movie. The cinema exit door opens onto an imaginary desert where they will meet, alone in the world, around a dance that is sometimes tender, sometimes dramatic, and soon playful. A tribute to the feelings we share when going to the cinema.
LOVE LETTER TO GLASGOW, 6min., UK Directed by Myria Christophini An experimental animated short that makes an artistic commentary on the perception of some Glaswegians on romantic love.
HIRA, 10min., Italy Directed by Emanuele Colognese Hira loves sunflower seeds, the red color, and the silence that envelops the world when she extinguishes it, for she possesses this power. Meanwhile, Matteo adores Haribo candies, Rubik’s cubes, and Russian literature. One day, these two individuals cross paths (or rather, collide), and their anonymous bodies become familiar faces, with their piercing blue eyes and thick curls. It takes just a little to intertwine two existences. But how can the same knots be untangled? Against the backdrop of a modern Milan, two stories unfold, not of love but of life.
RACHEL AND RAHA, 16min,. Canada Directed by Nedda Sarshar Rachel and Raha is a short film about second chances and how the people in your past make reappearances at strange moments in your life. Rachel is a grad student living in her parents house in North York and enjoying her summer break when her old best friend (a girl who ghosted her in middle school) moves into her grandparents home across the street.
HONEYMOON, 4min,. Switzerland Directed by Anaëlle Morf A man and a woman meet in a bar for the first time.
SING ME TO SLEEP, 25min., USA Directed by Mario Valdivieso “Sing Me To Sleep” follows the story of a young couple by the name of Marc and Julia. Julia has been diagnosed with cancer, and she is at the point where her disease has become terminal. Marc decides to take his dying wife home so they can make the most of their last days together.

Braving the realities of the harsh Montana winter and changing hunting regulations, hobby and career biologists track and study wolves in the Northern Tier of Yellowstone National Park. While the fate of wolves remains uncertain, the devotion and passion of Yellowstone’s Wolf Watchers are always a constant.
Rebirth: Intended to foster environmental climate change awareness by children, Rebirth is A Child’s Environmentally-Friendly Fairytale — a 12-minute animated musical suite depicting the respective seasons in four movements: The mini-symphony features (recorded-live) violins, cellos, clarinet, oboe and timpani, among other instruments, as it gathers momentum to provide a personal experience of nature’s growth cycles – with trees dancing and tendrils triumphantly bursting forth through the soil. Further, it doubles as a meditation mindfulness exercise as it allows us to teach children to move a little bit more methodically – react less and observe more. To pay attention instead of being distracted.
“Karibu Nyumbani” translates as “Welcome to my Home” in Swahili. Guides in the Maasai Mara have a deep-rooted pride, knowledge, and love for wildlife. This film encapsulates that passion from the perspective of George Osono, a guide in Mara North Conservancy, who completely embodies this spirit of caring for nature.
THE MOMENT, 7min., Canada Directed by Craig Wrobleski A poem about resilience and strength as a path to peace. The film follows one woman’s extraordinary journey.
What motivated you to make this film? I received the poem that the film is based on as a text message from my friend Irina Lytchak. It arrived at the end of a rough day and the message of the poem really resonated with me. It felt like a universal message that could help others so I thought I’d make a film inspired by it.
2. From the idea to the finished product, how long did it take for you to make this film? Well, that’s a difficult question to answer. From the idea to finishing the one-day shoot was about 3 weeks and then the edit took another couple days. It then went to the composer who spent a couple weeks working on the score and then the mix took another couple weeks. So that process took about 3 months. That is when things get complicated as I then became very busy on a number of projects, lost two close family members and basically had a lot of life happen. For that reason it took about a year and a half to complete the final colour and send the film out to the world. It was a long and difficult time but one in which the message of Irina’s poem became all the more resonant.

I’m new in professional film making. After a friend recommended film freeway to promote& show case our documentary, I had no clue were to start among thousand’s… With very limited budget, I had to give up with the famous one. But luckily found this little gem. I decided to invest most of my budget on the full package. I can tell you that it was worth it. The rview & podcast very professional. The online screening too and last but not least my film will be screened today among 3 others on a full booked cinema. Unfortunately I can’t be there because of Canada not giving me a visa. The crew are great professional people, very open minded on new talents and Indie movies. Even helped me, giving instruction on the post editing version for the screening. Our crew had experience for online low fi only. All those bit rate, fps and 422, 424, DCP, were only foreign language… But we could learn a lot thanks to them.
The Toronto & Los Angeles Documentary Festival will always hold a special place in my heart. It’s a platform that truly celebrates the power of storytelling and the beauty of authentic cinema. Having Made in Paradise voted as the BEST NATURE FILM at this incredible festival is an honor beyond words. Thank you for creating a space where filmmakers and their work can thrive.

Love Unveiled explores the collision of two different worlds. Sophie, a driven and self-centered woman, dreams of a political career in Washington, D.C., but her plans derail when her father’s gambling debts entrap her with Drago, a ruthless mafia boss in Split, Croatia. Forced into a marriage with Drago’s son, Ivan, Sophie finds herself in a world of crime and moral uncertainty.

What is your screenplay about? Love Unveiled follows Sophie, an ambitious young woman determined to build a successful political career. Her life gets derailed when she has to marry a conflicted Croatian mobster to settle her father’s gambling debt. The film explores themes of love, sacrifice, redemption, and self-discovery.

Why should this screenplay be made into a movie? The screenplay offers a fresh take on the collision of two vastly different worlds. Currently, there isn’t a film similar to Love Unveiled released in the past 6 years which makes it a unique selling point. Love Unveiled explores universal themes that are compelling to the worldwide audience.

What movie have you seen the most times in your life? The Passion of the Christ, I watch it on every Good Friday.
